Former Miss Uganda Aisha Salma Nassanga got married in the US over the weekend. Salma, who won the 2003/2004 Miss Uganda title and Eric tied the knots in Miami, Florida. The former beauty queen was once in a relationship with a Nigerian man whom she introduced to her parents in 2014 as the man she was in love with and wanted to marry but that didn't work out.
The once dark skinned beauty also admitted to bleaching, saying that "it is her right to do to her skin whatever she finds necessary", adding that it makes her comfortable and she is not apologetic.

It Doesn’t Matter If Another Governor Deposes Me Says Sanusi

Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, the 16th Emir of Kano, says he is not worried about the possibility of another governor removing him.  Former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje had dethroned Sanusi in 2020, following a personal rift. While Sanusi was reinstated by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir, is contesting his dethronement in the court. Speaking with Saturday Sun, Sanusi said only God knows how long he will stay on the throne. He said: “For me, even now that I am here, only God knows how long I will be here. I can die tomorrow. ECOWAS Court Dismisses HEDA’s Suit Against FG On Gas Flaring

The ECOWAS Court of Justice, on Thursday, dismissed a suit brought by a non-governmental organisation (NGO), Human and Environmental Development Agenda (HEDA).  Justice Sengu Mohamed Koroma, Judge Rapporteur who delivered the judgment, said the Court dismissed all claims of rights violations due to a lack of facts and evidence in support of the allegations and ordered the NGO to pay a nominal cost of one hundred thousand naira to the Nigerian government.  The initiating application with suit number ECW/CCJ/APP/40/21 was filed on 22 July 2021 by The Registered Trustees of HEDA Resource Centre, a registered NGO focused on anti-corruption, and non-partisan human rights and development in Nigeria.  The suit was premised on the alleged failure of Nigeria to guarantee the rights to life, dignity of the human person, physical and mental health, and right to a healthy environment for Nigerians particularly those residing in the oil-producing areas of Nigeria.  Re...
